3/3/2017: We have already begun pruning, which will last a good take a good share of March to complete. With over 2000 trees, and each one needing attention, the task is great, but the rewards are even better.
3/3/2017: It’s that time of year – when the spring sun warms up the bark on the maple trees and the sap begins to flow. This year, with the warmer temperatures, we are tapping about 10 days earlier than normal.
3/1/2017: As of March 1, 2017, we are out of all apples from last fall. We are looking forward to this falls crop. Each year is different, with their own challenges and blessings.
