Welcome to Pleasant View’s online store!

It gives us immense pleasure every time a guest walks into our bakery, their face immediately lighting up with a big smile and they exclaim, “Oh, it smells SO good in here!” Think of us as your grandma’s kitchen, taking you back to all those wonderful homemade delights she made using time-tested, handed-down recipes. Everything in our bakery is made-to-order and from scratch just like grandma’s; from loaves of bread to pies, cookies, scones, Slovak kolaches, and our signature pastry treat, the “Pie Pocket”, there are absolutely no fillers and preservatives here! We grind our wheat on the spot for our bread and pie crusts and make our pie fillings from real fruit (NEVER canned). Every delicious bite will be a testimony to the love and passion we have for a quality bakery product and your taste-sensation experience.

We are a seasonal bakery, open approximately June-November. Follow our Facebook page for news and updates.

Enjoy browsing our menu to find out what we offer! If you see an item you’d like to order but it is marked as “sold out”, simply call, text, or email us to inquire about that item’s upcoming availability.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

Baking Instructions: Frozen Pies

For a large pie: Place frozen pie on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Put the pan with pie into a cold oven, and turn the oven on to 400°F. Bake for 15-20 minutes, then turn the oven down to 350°F. Bake for 60-90 minutes more. Pie is done when the filling is dripping as “thick goo”, not runny or juicy.

For a small pie, follow the same directions as above for a large pie; however, plan on only 10-15 minutes at 400° and then down to 350° for 45-60 minutes.

Baking Instructions: Frozen CinnaBuns

Thaw completely (several hours or overnight). Pre-heat oven to 350°F, and bake for 18-25 minutes or until lightly golden. CinnaBuns should not be mushy in center, but spring back when touched lightly. We recommend NOT to overbake them! Frost and serve. Simple frosting: Powdered sugar, almond or vanilla extract (splash), water. Mix well and drizzle over hot Cinnabuns.

Baking Instructions: Frozen Scones

Pre-heat oven to 400°F. Place frozen scones on a parchment paper-lined cookie sheet. Bake for 20 minutes, then turn oven temperature down to 350°F and bake for another 20-30 minutes until fully golden and scones are firm (when gently pressed on top).
